Farm In A Box Project
The Challenge
AGCO wanted to explore a new business stream aimed at providing its mechanisation solution to rural small-holder customers, in an accessible and affordable manner.
The Solution
Agova completed a business plan for AGCO’s proposed small-holder solution called “Farm in A Box”.Agova collected and analysed data on the market dynamics and the demand for mechanisation solutions amongst the small-holder sector in Zambia. Agova also developed a business plan model to provide financial projections for their Farm in a Box model, targeted at smallholder farmers over a 2-year period.
Results
AGCO used the business plan when launching this new business model in January 2019, and to identify funding partners that could help scale the model nationwide.
