AgFin Project: Bridging Gaps in Agricultural Finance
The Challenge
Through its AgFin project, GIZ seeks to improve financial literacy and agricultural financial service provision for rural communities in the Central, Southern and Eastern Provinces of Zambia.
The Solution
Agova developed and delivered a new financial education training curriculum to semi-literate farmers and owners of agri-based enterprises, the majority of which was delivered as visual content and practical exercises.
Results
1,000 farmers learned how to develop farm budgets, put in place record-keeping practices, and produce basic P&L statements.
